BUILDING DESCRIPTION:
This elegant complex offers an extremely large indoor swimming pool, a licensed private lounge, squash courts, billiard room, exercise room, meeting areas, 24 hour security and concierge, shuttle bus service throughout the downtown area, and substantial visitor parking. The general population tends to be middle and older age range professionals in the upper-middle income range. Young professionals tend to congregate in 77 and 99. It should be noted that all of the Harbour Square buildings (33,55,65,77,and 99) are very international in their ownership and with a collective total of over 2000 suites represents a self contained neighbourhood.
33 Harbour square is the first condo building of the harbour square, located on the south west corner of Bay Street and Queens Quay West. Most of the one bed room and 2 bed room suites are two levels like a house. There is no question 33 Harbour Square has stood the test of time. Many of the original buyers continue to enjoy their units today - a good indicaiton of the original build quality. 33 Harbour Square has some interesting double floor units whihc are a plus and a minus. Older people buy condos to avoid stairs, so two floor units can be counterproductive. On the other hand, many older owners moved to 55/65 Harbour Square, so 33 is getting a much younger group. The second concern is that this was first high-rise built by Campeau COrp. The mistakes they made were corrected in 55/65 Harbour Square so you expect to pay less at 33.
55 - 65 Harbour square is the building just west of 33 Harbour Square and it is the second phase of the Harbour square condo buildings, located on the south west corner of Bay Street and Queens Quay. Both cityscape views and Harbour front views are spectacular, especially on some of the higher floors. Its important to remember that 77/99 Harbour Square is a completeely seperate condominum development, and they do not share facilities with 33, 55 and 65 Harbour Sqare.
77/ 99 Harbour Square are the the wo tall condominium buildings wedged between 55/65 Harbour Square and The Queens Quay terminal. This complex has excellent facilities including an indoor pool a workout area and a very popular private dining room and cocktail lounge. The building also has excellent guest parking. The crowd is much younger than their eastern neighbour.
